AREA SALES MANAGER

Our Milan office requires an Area Sales Manager to drive sales performance in Italy. Heading up a dynamic sales team, the area sales manager will identify opportunities, maximise profitable sales, develop business with existing clients and develop new relationships, particularly among top prospects.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Unit Director and will be responsible for the following duties:


  • Secure business growing through industry knowledge and market expertise
  • Supervise, encourage and coach area sales team formed by two persons
  • Prepare annual sales budget for the assigned area
  • Seek out and analyse new business development opportunities
  • Cultivate existing and build new relationships with customers for maximum retention
  • Introduce new products into the region
  • Work to gain a deep understanding of clients’ requirements
  • Liaise with project management team throughout the lifetime of a sale, from detailed briefs to completion
  • Maintain and update ERP/CRM database

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in business related areas, preferably in Marketing or science discipline. At least Five years’ sales experience in the cosmetic industry, preferably in packaging
  • Target-oriented attitude
  • Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems
  • Positive, pro-active approach to meeting customer requirements
  • Aptitude for understanding technical specifications and applying them to meet customer requirements
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Aptitude to work in an international environment

Desirable skills

  • Experience in sales team management
  • Italian mother tongue
  • High level of English is a must
  • Knowledge of Spanish is appreciated

Our client Quadpack France is a subsidiary of a multinational group providing packaging solutions for the beauty industry and is recruiting a Global Account Manager.

Job description:

Reporting to the Director of the French subsidiary, you will have full responsibility for sales to key multinational accounts, building excellent relations with the decision-makers. The network you will create within these key accounts will enable you to place company offers on a maximum number of identified projects.
You will work in close collaboration with the project development teams and customer services in France. You will liaise closely with the senior business development managers of the other European subsidiaries. You will report regularly to your superiors, informing them of your client portfolio and your activity. Your profile: You have studied at a school of commerce or engineering. You are able to show at least seven year’s professional experience including at least three in the role of Global Account Manager. You have experience in selling technical products to the cosmetics, perfume or hygiene sectors in France. Through this experience you have acquired in-depth knowledge of the sector that will aid you in your new post and above all, you have already established relationships with some of those people who will be your key contacts in this post. You have previously managed a sales team of at least two people. You have a perfect command of the English language.
