New airless pack label

New airless pack label to act as quality guarantee

The Airless Pack Association (APA) is laying the foundations for the creation of a genuine airless label. Founded in 2008, the APA gathers five of the main global producers of airless dispensers: Lablabo, Lumson, Megaplast, Rexam,Quadpack / Yonwoo.

APA treasurer and Quadpack Group Marketing Director Gérard Perrin says: “With a health-conscious consumer base demanding natural products, the attraction of airless delivery systems is clear. They protect sensitive formulas by keeping air and contaminants out, they enable less use of preservatives and their non-aggressive actuation is free of harmful gases. Their ability to dispense all of the product without waste also appeals to a crisis-stricken market.”

Reports estimate the airless market in Europe alone to double in the next five years. With many new suppliers bound to come on board, the range of airless dispensers is set to multiply.

“The forecasted rise in the number of airless packs makes the development of a quality label all the more salient,” says Perrin. “The APA will create a label that consumers can rely on as a guarantee that an airless design complies with APA specifications.”

The APA aims to develop the global market for airless products, highlighting the advantages of airless dispensers for the packaging and preservation of cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food products. Visit www.airlesspackassociation.com for more information.
