John Gordon

 

John has worked within the accounts industry for 13 years, having worked for various companies and at different levels during that time. Having moved to the U.K. from New Zealand in 1993, he first worked as a barman for several years (mandatory for all antipodeans) before signing up for accounts in 1998.

The bulk of John’s accounts experience has involved management of the general ledger and cash flow, with each of his last two roles being with companies of a similar size to Quadpack UK, albeit in the publishing and telemarketing industries. 

John is a keen golfer, although you wouldn’t know it to see him in action. His other hobby is watching Newcastle United Football Club, although as yet they haven’t asked him to play.

Prior to his move to England, John’s first job in New Zealand was as a trainee aircraft mechanic with the RNZAF, before going to Auckland University where he managed most of a degree in Mechanical Engineering. For the last two years of his time down under he worked as a sales engineer for a fibreglass insulation manufacturer.
